Youngho Choun
Coach Choun is a master of fencing with over thirty years of experience both as a coach and an athlete. His career as a fencing coach began in 2002 as the Head coach of the Korea National Sports University Fencing Team. To this day, the Korean National Sports University continues to produce Olympic athletes and world champions. Coach Choun has led the South Korean national team in many international competitions such as the World Fencing Championship and the World University Games (Universiade). Through his coaching, he has tempered multiple world champions and Olympians. Having the desire to spread more awareness and interest for fencing, coach Choun moved to the US in 2008 and began
coaching for the various Universities, private schools, and esteemed clubs in the states. Coach Choun has coached at Brown, and has held records for being the first in the line of succession of coaches at private secondary institutions. He has coached at clubs that have produced national medalists and Ivy-bound college student-athletes.
Coach Young holds BA and MA degrees in Physical Education with a concentration in Fencing from the Korea National Sports University, Seoul, Korea. He had personally won gold and bronze medals in World Fencing Championship (1993 Thailand Open). He also obtained a teacher's certificate in PE and a Fencing Coach certificate, both from the government of South Korea. Coach Young holds a US Fencing Association (USA Fencing) coach membership, with proven background checks and SafeSport(R) training from the USA Fencing Association.

Elway Goedicke
Coach Elway is an aspiring coach who has 6 years of fencing experience. She started coaching beginner camps a few years back, and has given lessons to people who want to try out the sport. She has a D19 rating in epee and was 2nd in the region for Y14 in 2019. She has been fencing consistently since she started back in 2016.
