Class Packages
At Nashville Elite Fencing Club, we strive to offer you the best use of your time, offering packages of classes and private lessons to suit your fencing needs. In order to take classes at NEFC, we require that you have an annual membership to our club, as well as a USFA Membership. We have a wide variety of classes available to everyone no matter your skill level from members who are just starting their fencing journey, to those who are competing in college varsity athletics.
Youth 1
This fun class is for beginner and intermediate youth fencers, and will focus on developing agility, balance and coordination through the use of various fencing-related games and activities. All equipment is provided. Fencers must complete an Intro Lesson Package prior to enrolling. For students of ages 6 who want to explore the sport. Two classes per week
Youth 2
This class focuses on more structured training, and bouting with electric equipment is an included element. Fencers in this class will also have the option for skills testing and rank advancement (similar to the belt system in karate). Full uniform and electric equipment must be purchased through the club. Fencers must complete three months of Youth I Classes before joining this class. Two classes per week One Private Lesson per week
Adult
Starting fencing is always a great idea, no matter your age! Our Adult Group class caters to those 18 and older, welcoming both new fencers and those who have graduated from our Teen class and want to continue fencing for fun. With a small class size, each student benefits from personalized attention to enhance their fundamentals and refine technical strategies. Recreational bouts allow for practical application of skills learned, and most importantly, they offer a chance to enjoy the sport! Two classes per week Open Fencing
Competitive
This class is for fencers or fencers ready to make the commitment required to become a competitive fencer. This program is not skill-based, but rather commitment-based. The only prerequisites are that the fencer has completed the Foundations Program, and will be at least 10 years old during the calendar year. Athletes in this program typically compete on the regional, national, and international levels. Three classes per week One Private lesson per week Open Fencing
Elite
This program is tailored for fencers competing at the highest echelons of national and international competitions, including those from NCAA Division I, II, and III programs. Participants in this class will benefit from: - Unlimited Access to Competitive and Elite-Level Training Sessions: Engage in advanced tactical and technical drills designed to refine and perfect your fencing skills. - Comprehensive Physical Conditioning: Participate in a rigorous physical training program focusing on strength, endurance, agility, and flexibility, essential for high-performance fencing. - Individualized Coaching: Receive two private lessons per week with experienced coaches who provide personalized feedback and strategic guidance. - Open Fencing Sessions: Take part in open fencing sessions to practice and apply techniques in a controlled yet competitive environment, enhancing your bout management and decision-making skills under pressure.
Interested in Open Fencing? Come on by! For all first-timers, you must purchase a private lesson package before joining any of the aforementioned classes. College students and temporary visitors to Nashville: special rates are available.
